One Spring Day

ONE SPRING DAY

One spring day, I was taking a walk

One spring day, I really sought

The peace of sunshine

And a small taste of the Lords wine

One spring day, I was just wondering

One spring day, I heard the wind whispering

That the birds in the tress

And the butterflies and the bees

Would take head to this day

In the Lords only way

One spring day, I was just thinking

One spring day, I had a little bit of a drink

To lessen the pain

Of a life gone insane

One spring day, I will see through the trees

One spring day, I am begging on my knees

That the Lord will forgive

For he has risen

One spring day, I had a thought

One spring day, a friend of mine taught

Me to expect the best

And forget all the rest

One spring day, I smelled the fragrance

One spring day, I saw the flowers dance

In the wind as it whistled

Gently by as it wrestled

The leaf’s in there place

If it only had a face

One spring day, I heard a bird chirp

One spring day, I felt the humming of the harp

That the angels did play

On that spring day
